Next October, AFIAL 2021 will be the essential appointment for the entire national audiovisual sector, which after the health crisis needs to meet again.
At the last meeting of the Organizing Committee, the role of AFIAL 2021 as a dynamizer of the sector and as an exclusive appointment of the national audiovisual market was highlighted. Thus, the president of AFIAL, Mr. Miguel Mezquita, was hopeful about the next edition of the event and expressed the importance of holding face-to-face fairs “following the health and safety measures established by the authorities”. Regarding AFIAL 2021, “he expressed his conviction that it will be a different edition but that it will undoubtedly be a successful fair.”
The director of the event, Ms. Begoña Cordero, delved into the strategy of the AFIAL 2021 event with tools that allow “looking to the future with optimism” and “knowing how to be by the side of companies and professionals”.
As for the commercial evolution of AFIAL 2021, he announced that at the moment there is already a 71% of space occupation. This means the presence of more than 250 brands represented from sound, lighting, audiovisual technology,special effects, electronics and structures.
About the exhibition area, AFIAL 2021 will occupy more than 2000 m2 of exhibition space in the Madrid Arena of the Casa de Campo de Madrid and the rear esplanade of the Pabellón de Cristal -where the outdoor sound demonstrations will take place- and the assembly will be carried out with modular format stands. The Organizing Committee made this decision to bring uniformity to the event, with a direct entrance that favors the flow of people and the safety protocols in sanitary measures by Covid established by the Community of Madrid.
Undoubtedly, it is worth highlighting the commendable role of the Asociación AFIAL as a strategic backbone for the sector for more than 18 years and that during this pandemic has been fighting for the interests of the sector together with other organizations of national and international character, such is the case of the constitution of the FIAVE Federation, the close collaborations with the PLASA Association in the WEMAKEEVENTS movement, with the Actúa Ayuda Alimenta Solidarity Foundation (AAA) or supporting initiatives such as ALERTA ROJA (AR), MUTE or pilot events of the Primavera Sound music festival. The trajectory of AFIAL endorses the importance of this event in which the objective is to create a meeting point where the professionals of the sector meet again and thus begin to resume the trade fair activity.
From 5 to 7 October 2021, professionals will have the opportunity to leave aside digital video conferencing platforms and feel that we are here with the industry, that we are back and above all we do it for all its professionals and companies.
